Our Artists
Alan Hernandez
Owner and Stylist
With over 17 years of experience as a stylist, Alan has always dreamed of opening his own salon. He feels fortunate to see that dream become a reality with Salan H. Alan has trained in New York at Bumble and Bumble, and with celebrity stylist, Nick Arrojo. He also studied overseas in London at Vidal Sassoon, and in Spain with elite stylist, Rossano Ferretti. His specialty is dry cutting, which he considers a true art form. Alan believes that all stylists are taught the same cutting techniques, but it’s what they do with this knowledge afterwards that makes them an artist. Alan truly loves everything about the hair industry and enjoys passing on his cutting techniques, and knowledge to up and coming artists.
Daniela Hernandez
Owner and Colorist
Daniela has been a color specialist for 19 years and is excited to begin this new chapter in her career. She trained internationally with elite artists in London at Vidal Sassoon, as well as nationally, in New York, with Bumble and Bumble, L’Oreal, and Wella. During her training, she mastered a range of color techniques including highlights, process color, corrective color, and balayage. Her true passion is corrective color and balayage, the art of freehand painting color onto the hair to create natural looking highlights. When doing balayage, Daniela produces a cohesive blend of complimentary tones to bring dimension and depth to the hair. Daniela believes in continuous education and strives to stay on top of the latest trends in order to provide excellent service to her clientele. She also feels it’s essential to listen to her clients, understand their needs, and respect their hair.
Raquel Nicole
Color Artist
Raquel began her career as a hairdresser immediately after graduating from high school. She studied at Ricci’s beauty school where she developed her love of color. She has also taken color classes with L’Oreal and Wella, and attended educational programs with Rusk. Raquel is trained in balayage, a hand painted technique of sweeping or painting color onto the hair. Specializing in balayage, she truly loves to add beautiful, rich, dimensional color to her client’s hair. What she loves most about it is that it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, and it provides a timeless, natural look. Raquel’s passion for hair coloring comes from the endless possibilities it gives her to create a unique look for each client. She is as passionate about continuing her own education as she is about helping other colorists learn new skills.
